The BarE ranch is an excellent bow ranch. There is are more animals than you can shoot in a weekend. The guide, Toby, was realatively new, but is learning fast. James, the owner is the nicest man you will ever meet. The cabins are very clean and comfortable. And the prices are the best that I've found in Texas. I strongly reccomend this ranch to anyone who likes to hunt exotics with a bow.

Over hunted. Very few animals besides goats/sheep except around camp which is off limits to hunt. Ranch Manager rude and no help as to where to hunt. Stands pitiful. You get what you pay for. A waste of time and money.

I did not harvest an animal but it was by my choosing. The animals are there and were seen by everyone in my party. I highly recommend this ranch to anyone wanting to have fun and see lots of exotics. Les was a blast to be with and we will be requesting he guide us in August 2008 when we go back for Axis and Red Stag. Thanks bar e for having a great affordable ranch to hunt exotics in Texas.

Les was great, as was Larry and Tina. This was my wifes first year bowhunting and Les put a lot of time into getting her on the animals. She brought home 2 and I did get my Dull sheep. I do agree with a comment above, that you get what you pay for in most cases, however the Bar E Ranch is an exception. Thanks again Zimmermans and see you in 2009.

Seen very few animals. We had a party of four and nobody got even a shot at an animal. All the goats, rams and ferral hogs were up by camp which was off limits. VERY dissapointing! I would not recommend this ranch to my worst enemy.

Hunted with Larry, Tina and Les, who are really good people, for 3 years. Went somewhere new in 2009 paid more took more people and shot nothing! Already talked to Tina about coming back in 2010. For the money I don't think you can find a better place.

First day had 12 Aoudad within 23 yds, Second day had 9 Axis within 25 yrds. Harvested one of each. Do not miss this oppertunity. Tina and Larry are VERY GOOD at locating the game you are after. And you will not beat their prices.

Saw lots of good animals and had a few opportunities to harvest. Made the most of the opportunities and harvested a medium sized black buck, a good barbados ram, and a smaller hog. Had a couple of chances at hogs and other rams. Pretty good hunt overall. Plan to go back again this year.
